Sharon McMillen Cannon teaches written and oral management communication.
Prior to coming to UNC Kenan-Flagler, Dr. Cannon taught management communication at the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, where she also founded and directed the Management Communication Lab, a resource for all Olin business students.
Dr. Cannon also has directed the Business Communication Center at UNC Kenan-Flagler (2004-07), served as a dean of students, and directed a leadership development program.
She has served as a public-speaking consultant to businesses, universities, and individuals.
She received a PhD from North Carolina State University, an MEd from the University of Florida and an AB from Washington University in St. Louis.
